Seniors win Ricky Fogarty Cup

Our seniors were first out in Moneygall last night as they looked to end what was a tough season on a high and bring the Premier Division Cup home. In a tense affair Darren Coleman was a stand out player but it was clear that all of our guys were up for the occasion. But the real story lies with the goalscorer, the guy who for over twenty five years has scored week in week out for our club, a guy whose scoring prowess the likes will never be seen again at this level. Paul Kirwan played what looks like his last senior game last night and met a ball on the half volley, as sweet as a nut, finding the back of the net to score the decisive goal to bring the cup back to Villa Park.

The club would like to thank Paul for his years of service, we appreciate every second, every goal and every roar.

What a fitting end to the season for Denis Moloney’s side as our seniors continue to pave the way for the rest of the club.
